day at the beach

Andrea is...back at work
I’ve just had a lovely two days off. I worked over the weekend which really dragged out. I did visit the Environs Kimberley art auction on Saturday night. Saw some great artwork and was very tempted to put in some bids, but kept reminding myself that the paintings wouldn’t look that good hanging in my storage shed! Broome has a huge art community which I have been meaning to write about for a while. It will come.

The weather has heated up to around 33 degrees after our ‘cold’ spell which gave us a max of 22.5 on Friday. Before that, the daily maximums were around 30 degrees. The humidity has been quite high, especially in the evenings, which is apparently unus
ual. This morning I roasted on my way to work in my hoodie and jeans (Glad I ditched the knee-high socks and long sleeve top that I have been wearing) at 21deg and 80% RH.

At least I had nice weather for my days off and headed to the beach. At Reddells beach, Rachel, Oscar and I were all
having a swim. Amos tried to follow us in, got hit by a wave and quickly retreated. He whined and barked for us to come back, made another attempt to reach us, then gave up, sat on my towel and sulked! He wouldn’t take his eyes off us and didn’t move the whole time we were in the water. As soon as we were out, he ran around the beach like his usual mad self. Oscar and I played with some of the many hermit crabs that were grouped together. I played with my new camera (yes, it finally arrived!).
